Phoenix basketball wrap up non-conference play Saturday

The Horizon League will be the sole focus moving forward after the Green Bay Phoenix women and men return to action on Saturday.

The Phoenix women open the day with a 1 p.m. tip against UW-Parkside. They are coming off of a win against another Wisconsin-based D-3 school, Ripon College on Thursday.

The Phoenix men will try to snap a long losing skid when they play at Drake at 5 p.m. They allowed Division 2 Michigan Tech to climb back from 13 down to beat them 72-70 in front of 5200 fans at the Resch Center.

Both teams will play Horizon League rivals the rest of the way after Saturday's matchups.
