Second-period surge sinks Gamblers vs. Phantoms

The Youngstown Phantoms found the back of the net four times in the second period to sprint the Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday 5-2.

Mykhailo Danylov matched an earlier goal by the Phantoms with one of his own to tie the Gamblers in the first period. The flood gates opened after Egor Shilov scored halfway through the second period. The Phantoms tied the game one minute later and piled on after that, including two goals in the final minute of the frame. Gavin Moffatt had his second straight rough game against the Phantoms, allowing five goals on 29 shots faced.

The Gamblers will take a break for the holidays before they return to action on December 27th  and 28th against the Madison Capitols at the Resch Center.
