Gamblers fall hard to Bucs in American Cup

A Cole Longacre goal late in the first period to be the lone highlight for the Green Bay Gamblers as they fell in their first American Cup against the Des Moines Buccaneers 5-1.

A defenseman's tally with five minutes to go in the first period tied the game at one before the Buccaneers took control from there. The Buccaneers scored four times thanks to a pair of goals and an assist from Nathan Delladonna. Gavin Moffatt took the loss in net for the Gamblers, stopping 24 of the 28 shots he faced.

The two teams go at it again in Rochester, New York at 7 p.m.
