The Green Bay Gamblers will try to continue Wednesday's momentum with a weekend series against the Tri-City Storm.
In their 5-1 win over the Chicago Steel Thanksgiving eve, The two teams traded goals in the first period with the Gamblers' Cruz Martin and the Steel's Ashton Schultz matching each other's efforts. Will Zellers' go-ahead goal in the second period provided the Gamblers with momentum heading into the third period before William Samuelsson, Anthony Cardilli, and Vasily Zelenov put the game further out of reach. Gavin Moffatt had a light night in net, stopping 17 of the only 18 shots the Steel registered in the contest.
The Storm's Thanksgiving eve game didn't go as well, dropping their matchup against the Lincoln Stars 5-0. It was their second straight loss.
Both games will feature a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
