If you are looking to chase away some Thanksgiving calories this year, some local organizations in Door County are hosting runs for a cause this Thursday.

Door County Fitness Studio is holding its annual Northern Door Turkey Trot and Dog Jog beginning at 8:30 a.m. The 5K Run/1M walk is free, but donations and proceeds from sweatshirt sales go to support Friends of Gibraltar. 

The Ellison Bay Gobble Wobble is a 2.5-mile run that starts and ends at Fitzgerald Park. The run starts at 9:00 am. Registration is $10 a person and free for kids 12 and under are free. All registered runners will receive a finisher’s mug with a warmup drink.

For those a little busy on Thanksgiving or who want to run off the calories after the fact, the One Barrel 2.62 Mile Run in Egg Harbor is slated to take place at 10 a.m.
