The Green Bay Gamblers' seven-game road trip continues with games against the Fargo Force on Friday and Saturday.
In their last game, the Gamblers scored a goal on Saturday, with Will Zellers lighting the lamp in periods one and two. Vasily Zelenov scored his goal in the third period to lead the team to a 3-2 victory over Dubuque. The Fighting Saints made a charge late with two goals with 45 seconds of each with less than four minutes to go. Gavin Moffatt withstood the man advantage in the final minutes, securing the win with 21 saves on 23 shots faced. The win was the Gamblers' third straight. The team's success led to Lukas Peterson earning defenseman of the week honors, and Moffatt captured goalie of the week honors for the second time this season.
The Force have split their four games this season, including a 1-1 record against the Lincoln Stars last weekend. They currently sit in third place in the Western Conference with 19 points, three points behind first-place Lincoln and Waterloo.
Friday's game will start at 7:05 p.m., while Saturday's puck drop will be one hour earlier, at 6:05 p.m.
