Phoenix women stumble against Panthers

The Green Bay women's basketball team could not recover from a rough second quarter in its 71-56 loss to Northern Iowa on Saturday.

 

The Phoenix played the Panthers nearly even in the other three quarters, but they were outscored 29-13 in the second quarter to set the stage for their second straight defeat to start the young season.

 

Three players scored in double figures for the Phoenix, led by Natalie McNeal, who scored 13 points. Callie Genke added 12 points, while Jasmine Kondrakiewicz contributed 10 points in the loss.
