Packers overcome another slow start to top Rams

The Green Bay Packers needed another strong second-half performance to get back into the win column on Sunday, sneaking past the Los Angeles Rams 24-19.

The Packers and the Rams traded rushing touchdowns early with Brandon Jacobs opening the scoring in the first quarter. Jordan Love's ill-advised toss to avoid a safety ended up in the hands of the Rams' Jaylen McCollough, who would walk into the endzone for the pick-six interception to put the Rams up 13-7 in the second quarter.

Trailing 13-10 in the third, Love made up for his earlier sin by finding Tucker Kraft twice in the frame, once on a 66-yard touchdown pass and another from seven yards out to make it 24-13 heading into the fourth quarter. The Rams would score again late in the fourth and threaten again before the final whistle. Still, the Packers survived for the third win of the season to keep pace with the Chicago Bears, who also won Sunday and find themselves both staring up at the undefeated Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North standings.
