The Mets jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI single by Kordell Draves. That lead lasted until the bottom of the fourth inning when Cody Geisseman led off with a long home run to left field to tie the game up.
Maplewood responded with two runs in the fifth and two more tallies in the seventh to take a commanding 5-1 lead.
The Mets would add one more run in the top of the ninth on an RBI triple by Jayden Diller.
Met's Adam Guthchow had a good day, going 2 for 5 with a double and 3 RBIs. Mark Villers was 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored. '
Jeremiah Jahnke pitched tough for Maplewood on Sunday, holding the Indians to just three hits and one run over seven innings while striking out ten batters.
Will Jandrin pitched the final two innings and only allowed one hit for the Mets (9-3).
Starting pitcher Jace Johnson took the loss for Egg Harbor (5-7) allowing four runs over six innings plus, but did manage to pick off four Met baserunners in the game.
