The culmination of 24 runs and 29 hits went the way of the Algoma Guins Thursday night as they defeated the Ashwaubenon Lookouts 15-9.
The Lookouts jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but the Guins would take control as they scored 10 of the next 11 runs in the game to take a 10-4 lead. Both teams would bring the lumber in the fifth inning, with the Lookouts plating four runs and the Guins answering with three of their own. The Guins tacked on two insurance runs in the sixth inning before the Lookouts ended the contest with one more of their own.
Ben Skenadore led the way offensively as he drove in five runs and went 2-4 with a home run. Spencer Krause (Sister Bay) was a perfect 5-5 with three RBI, and Brady Kita (Egg Harbor) drove in a pair. Door County League players Austen Dart (Kolberg) and Jaden Dillar (Maplewood) also drove in runs, while Jack Peterson (Kolberg) posted three hits.
