Sister Bay outlasts Maplewood on 105.1 The GOAT

Strong winds complemented even stronger pitching in Sister Bay's 3-0 win over Maplewood Father's Day afternoon.

Neither team threatened the other on the basepaths until Spencer Krause drove in Stewart Larsen on a double in the seventh inning. The Mets' best chance came in the eighth inning when Kody Kissimer was able to get to third base, but three straight popouts ended the threat. The Bays added insurance runs in the ninth inning when Griffin Cole went yard against Tory Jandrin to make it 3-0.

The Bays' Sam Forkert and the Mets' Jeremiah Jahnke went toe-to-toe in their pitching performances. Jahnke went eight innings, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out seven. Forket pitched a complete game shutout, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out five.
