Braves blow past Cubs

The Kolberg Braves only needed seven innings to defeat the Institute Cubs on Sunday afternoon, 19-2.

 

The Braves scored at least two runs in the first four innings, including a nine-spot in the second inning that all but guaranteed the outcome. The Cubs were also victimized by five errors.

 

The Braves outhit the Cubs 16-5 behind five players posting multi-hit games. Christian Counard and Jack Peterson each drove in four runs while Tyler Neinas and Joe Schneider tallied three RBI apiece. For the Cubs, Robbie Pollman posted two hits while Frankie Ash delivered the lone RBI.
