Glory beat Berber City to Improve to 3-0

The Green Bay Glory men's team is off to a hot start in their inaugural season.  After the Sunday afternoon match that saw it's fair share of delays, the Glory improved to 3-0 and a +10 goal differential.

The Glory would jump out to an early lead when, in the 11', Ethan Dietrich sent a shot across the goal past a diving goalkeeper Jack Strogen, that deflected off the right post into the goal. No more goals were scored in the first half, but the game hit an eleven minute delay when a ball off the foot of William Smested, which came just after a whistle, caught the main referee in the head, leading to her needing medical attention. The kick earned Smeasted a yellow card when play resumed.

The Glory struck early again in the second half when at the 49' Ethan Dietrich sent a corner kick in to Ben Omirnik, which Omernik headed into the back of the net for a two-nothing lead. The game would then hit its second long delay when a lightning strike nearby sent the game into what amounted to a nearly 45-minute weather delay.

After the delay, Ethan Dietrich would continue his big day putting another goal in the back of the net in the 70'. Green Bay's scoring was not done yet as Tommy Geocaris would put a goal into net in extra time giving the Glory the 4-0 victory with Hakkon Utesch shutting out Berber City's offense.

The Glory's next game will come Wednesday night when the men play the first game of a doubleheader, taking on FDL FC.  Game two, the Glory women will open their season against North shore. Those games will take place at UWGB.
