A's topple Cubs in Sunday showdown

Baileys Harbor registered 10 hits and capitalized on six Cubs errors in a 10-4 road victory in Institute.

 

The A's scored at least one run in every inning but in the fifth inning, including two runs in the third inning and three in the sixth inning. The Cubs had a shortlived lead after they scored twice in the first inning to head into the second frame up 2-1.

 

Brett Anschutz paced the A's as he went 1-5 with a double while driving in three runs. River Pawelski went 3-6 and drove in a pair of runs in the victory, with seven total A's players collecting at least one hit. For the Cubs, Robbie Pollman and Jaeger Brusky each had two hits, while Frankie Ash, Arthur Hocevar, and Joe Hoffman registered RBI in the loss.
