Sister Bay outlasts Kolberg at home

The Sister Bay Bays made sure their late runs were enough in their 9-6 win over Kolberg on Sunday afternoon.

The Bays and the Braves traded runs early after a scoreless first inning, leaving the game 5-4 in favor of the Bays after four innings. The Bays would put up four runs in the seventh inning to state their case for the victory. The Braves would score twice in the ninth, but Matt Hecht was able to close the door for the Bays win.

The Bays played long ball against the Braves, with Griffin Cole, Tom Sawyer, and Spencer Krause leaving the yard against the Braves' Marcus Reinhardt. Casey Weddig drove in three runs for the Bays on a 2-3 day. The Braves' Trevor Reinhardt slugged his home run while Derek Schinktgen collected his own extra-base hit with a double.
