Mets brush back A's late

The Baileys Harbor A's 4-2 lead quickly turned against them, as the Maplewood Mets scored at least three runs in the final three innings to take the game 17-6 in seven innings.

 

The two teams traded a pair of runs in the first inning before the A's would tally a run in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth inning, leading the game 4-2 heading into the fifth and down 5-4 after the fifth. The Mets would score six times in the sixth and four times in the seventh to end the game early.

 

Kordell Draves went 2-3 for the Mets, with four runs scored and three driven in. Zach Marchant drove in two runs on a 2-5 day, while five others registered at least one hit. Elvis Torres led the way for the A's with a 4-5 day and two RBI. A Gienter also drove in a pair in the A's loss.
