Packers draft OL Morgan

Rather than trying to address the improved offensive weapons of the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers opted to protect their own with the 25th Pick of the NFL Draft on Thursday.

The Packers selected Arizona tackle Jordan Morgan with the pick, addressing a need on the offensive line. According to Packers.com, Morgan (6-5, 311) started 37 games at left tackle in his college career, including 33 in the last three seasons. He made an impressive recovery from a torn ACL toward the end of the 2022 season to start 12 games at left tackle in 2023 and earn first-team All-Pac-12 Conference honors.

The Packers are scheduled to have four picks when the NFL Draft restarts at 6 p.m.:

Round 2, pick 41 (from the Jets in Aaron Rodgers trade)
Round 2, pick 58
Round 3, pick 88
Round 3, pick 91 (from the Bills in Rasul Douglas trade)
