The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team will play the Tennessee Lady Volunteers in their first NCAA Tournament game since 2018.

A couple hundred fans filled an auxiliary room at a Green Bay restaurant to celebrate the achievement. The Phoenix women punched their ticket with a Horizon League Tournament win over Cleveland State last Tuesday. The Lady Vols had their hearts broken in the SEC Tournament when undefeated South Carolina hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to eliminate them.

The Phoenix have tournament history against the Lady Vols, losing to them in 2016 59-53. A win would be the first for the Phoenix since they beat Iowa State in 2012. 

The game is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday.
