Packers follow recipe for playoff disappointment in latest loss to 49ers

Saturday's 24-21 loss to the San Francisco 49ers looked eerily similar to previous playoff exits for fans of the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers traded touchdowns for field goals early on as they entered halftime down 7-6 after Brock Purdy found George Kittle for a long score.

Both teams picked up the offense in the third quarter, with Jordan Love throwing touchdowns to Romeo Doubs and Bo Melton to take a 21-14 lead into the final quarter. Things went off the rails from there as special teams failed the Packers with a missed field goal, and Jordan Love's late interception capped things off after Christian McCaffrey scored his second touchdown. The Packers' defense dropped multiple interceptions and was a step too late from getting home on several dropbacks by Purdy.

Jordan Love's day ended with him throwing for 194 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Aaron Jones capped off his exciting end to the season with 108 yards on 18 carries.
