Phoenix women notch win vs. Norse

The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team doubled up the host Northern Kentucky Norse and never looked back in an 86-56 victory Friday night.

Bailey Butler was a big reason why for the success as she posted career highs in points scored (20) and steals (6) in the game that was out of hand before halftime. The Phoenix put the game to rest in the second quarter when they outscored the Norse 19-5. They were able to expand their lead further in the third quarter before the Norse were able to nibble away at the lead. Butler was not the only one with a big day in the scoring department as Natalie McNeal, Natalie Andersen, and Callie Genke all scored 12 points apiece, Maddy Schreiber registered 11 points, and Jenna Guyer helped out with 10 points.

The Phoenix women play again on Sunday against Wright State while the men are in Oakland on Saturday.
