Gamblers lose OT heartbreaker to Team USA

The Green Bay Gamblers held a one-goal lead for much of the game before falling late to Team USA 2-1 in OT.

Chris Romaine scored the Gamblers' lone tally in the first five minutes of the first period. Joey Slavick would go on to shut down the Gamblers the rest of the night, stopping 38 of their 39 shots. Conrad Fondrk tied the game seven minutes into the third period before providing the game-winning assist to Charlie Trethewey to capture the win for Team USA.

The two teams will play again Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at the Resch Center.
