Rockers conclude regular season home slate with victory

Despite having four errors, the Green Bay Rockers were able to get past the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6-4 Thursday night in their regular season home finale.

The Rockers' miscues led to two unearned runs, which kept the Dock Spiders in the ballgame. There was no scoring until the two teams traded single tallies in the fourth inning. That started a run of four consecutive innings in which the Rockers scored, highlighted by Jayson Jones and Mateo Matthews driving in runs without having to take the bat off their shoulders (bases-loaded walk and bases-loaded hit by pitch) in the fifth inning and a two-run homer by Andrew Harris in the seventh inning. Michael Riley picked up the win in relief for the Rockers, allowing one run on four hits across five innings with three strikeouts.

The Rockers wrap up the regular season this weekend with a pair of games in Wisconsin Rapids before hosting a playoff game on either Sunday or Monday.
