London falling: Packers see drop in profit

The Green Bay Packers saw record revenue in 2022, but it could have been more if they stuck around town.

Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy met with members of the Green Bay media on Wednesday to discuss the financials that will also be run through during Monday's annual stockholders meeting at Lambeau Field. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Packers reported $610.3 million in revenue for the 2022-23 fiscal year, which concluded at the end of March. The team reported a profit from operations of $68.6 million and net income of $35.6 million. That was about $9 million and $26 million respectively off from last year. Increased player costs, market volatility, and the London game all contributed to a lower net income for the fiscal year, which concludes in March.

Between 8,000 and 12,000 fans are expected to attend Monday's stockholder's meeting, where the financial picture along with other reports, will be shared beginning at 11 a.m.
