Bays top Indians on 105.1 The Goat

The Sister Bay Bays used a big four-run eighth inning to overtake the Egg Harbor Indians 10-5 in Egg Harbor on Sunday afternoon in Door County Baseball League action.  

 

The Bays started strong with a two-run first-inning with an RBI ground-out by Stuart Larsen and an RBI single by Griffin Cole.

 

Egg Harbor scored three runs in the fourth inning to take a 3-2 lead, with Nick Kita delivering a clutch two-run double.

 

Sister Bay responded in the top of the fifth with two runs on a double by Spencer Krause to recapture the lead at 4-3.

 

The Indians then scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh when a fly ball was dropped in right field.

 

The four-run eighth inning was capped off by Sawyer Johnson's two-run double to give the Bays an 8-5 lead.

 

Krause, Cole, and Alex Laughlin led the Bays with two hits each, while Elijah Reimer had two hits for the Indians.

 

Matt Hecht picked up the win in relief going the final two innings, while Anthony Jennerjohn took the loss in relief for the Indians.
