Brewers fall to Padres, face Angels Thursday

The San Diego Padres scored the game's first four runs and held on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2.

Manny Machado's third-inning home run was the game's big blow, driving in former Brewers outfielder Trent Grisham. Matt Beaty and Grisham knocked in the other two runs for the Padres.

The Brewers got on the scoreboard when Weston Wilson tripled home Joe Gray Jr. in the seventh inning before he was driven in by Joey Wiemer.

Freddy Peralta took the loss giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits through four innings.

The Brewers are back in action Thursday afternoon when they face the Los Angles Angels of Anaheim at 3:10 p.m. Eric Lauer is scheduled to start against the Angels' Shohei Ohtani.
