Packers trade Davante Adams to Raiders

In a blockbuster trade in the NFL Thursday, the Green Bay Packers are sending All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.  The Packers will receive the Raiders’ first-round and second-round picks in April’s draft.  Adams was franchise-tagged earlier this month after the Packers re-signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers.  Reportedly telling the Packers that he would not play under the franchise tag, Adams is expected to sign a five-year, $141.25 million contract with Las Vegas.   Adams will now be reunited with quarterback Derek Carr who played together at Fresno State.  Finishing his career with Green Bay, Adams ends up with 669 receptions and 8.121 yards with 73 touchdowns.  He was the Packers leading receiver by far last season with 123 catches and 1,553 yards with 11 TDs.
