Brewers, MLB teams get to work

The Milwaukee Brewers will go from having two weeks of their regular-season games canceled to playing spring training games later this week.

The Brewers reported to Maryvale this weekend for their first workouts of the spring. It was the first time the organization got to see Hunter Renfroe in a Brewers jersey. Renfroe was acquired by the Brewers for outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and prospects David Hamilton and Alex Binelas early on in the offseason. The Brewers also recently signed Brad Boxberger to a $2.5 million deal in 2022 with a chance at another $550,000 in performance bonuses as he tries to get the ball to Devin Williams and Josh Hader with the game on the line.

The Brewers will play their first spring training game on March 18th when they play the Los Angeles Dodgers at Camelback Ranch. Their first home spring training game is March 20th against the San Diego Padres.
