The Green Bay Gamblers ended up on the wrong side of a back and forth affair in Ohio Friday night, losing to Youngstown 6-5.
Down 1-0 after just 90 seconds in the first period, Brody Lamb and Cameron Lund tallied goals within five minutes of each other to give the Gamblers a 2-1 lead.
The Phantoms would score two unanswered goals to take a 3-2 lead before Matt Deboer tied it up with just over 40 seconds remaining to tie the game heading into the third period.
The two sides would combine for five goals in the third period with Peter Kramer opening the period with a tally before the Phantoms would score two straight. Jarod Crespo would tie the game up at five, but the Phantom's Charlie Lurie would give the Phantoms the game-winning goal just one minute after the Gamblers tied it up.
Rastislav Elias made 14 saves on the night.
The two sides meet each other again Saturday night at 6:05 p.m.
