Two local athletes were named the best of the best in their respective sports as the Packerland Conference announced their All-Conference squads.
Gibraltar's Sam Lindenberg capture player of the year honors for boys' basketball. He joined Algoma's Carter Zimmerman and Peshtigo's Landon Lemke has unanimous first-team selections. Southern Door's Drew Daoust, Oconto's Kadin Baxter, and NEW Lutheran's Tristian Lynch joined them on the first team.
Kewaunee's Mitchell Thompson was named Packerland Conference Wrestler of Year after he made a run at state. Six Kewaunee wrestlers made the all-conference. Three from Southern Door and one from Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol also made the squad.
Sevastopol's Bailey Rikkola and Kewaunee's Taylor Schleis were named to the First Team All Packerland Conference basketball team for girls' basketball.
