The deadline for teams to give players the franchise tag if they are unable to come to long-term details. One of those targets for the Packers is Davante Adams, who no matter is behind center for the team in 2022 would be a nice asset to have on offense. Tagging Adams would not only rub the All-Pro wide receiver the long way, but it could further anger Aaron Rodgers.

The longtime Packers quarterback has also said he would come to a decision by Tuesday. ESPN is reporting that the Packers are prepared to give Rodgers a contract that would make him among the highest-paid players in the league while improving their salary cap situation. 

The franchise tag deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday.
