Deadline looms for MLB season

If you are going to see baseball at American Family Field on March 31st, Monday is a big day.

According to ESPN's Jesse Rogers, the MLB Players' Association and the owners are still far apart heading into Monday's negotiations. Commissioner Rob Manfred says that if a deal is not struck on Monday that the regular season will be delayed. Games would be canceled and not made up, potentially costing players game checks.

Details like minimum salaries, the luxury tax, arbitration rules, and an expanded postseason are among the many sticking points between the players and the owners.

Pitchers and catchers were supposed to report to spring training two weeks ago with the first games scheduled to take place this past weekend.
