Gamblers trade Hallum ahead of Team USA games

It is Green Bay above country this weekend as the Gamblers travel to Michigan to battle the Team USA squads.

The U-18 squad the Gamblers will face Friday night is preparing for the World Tournament taking place in Kaufbeuren and Landshut, Germany from April 21 - May 1. Gamblers Head coach Pat Mikesch said earlier this week that this is typically when the U-18s are starting to peak because of their tournament coming up. Team USA did lose to Youngstown on Wednesday 3-2 and toppled Muskegon at the beginning of the month in a wild 9-8 victory.

The Gamblers have struggled during the month of  February, only winning twice along the way. They traded an important piece to their offense this week, sending Jackson Hallum to the Dubuque Fighting Saints for forward Peter Kramer and players to be named later. Hallum appeared in 41 games, tallying 21 goals and 28 assists.  The University of Michigan recruit was selected in the 3rd round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights. Kramer is in his first year in the USHL.  The Providence College commit has three goals and three assists in 31 games.

Game time is set for 6:05 p.m.
