Phoenix men stumble in Resch finale

The final game for the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team at the Resch Center struck a familiar chord as they lost to Wright State 78-62 Wednesday night.

Playing with just slightly more than a half a full roster, the Raiders wore down the Phoenix over the length of the game. The Phoenix had a slim lead late in the first half before the Raiders were able to enter the break with a four-point lead. A 25-5 run by the Raiders was a backbreaker for the Phoenix which went on to lose its sixth straight game. Kamari McGee continued to be a bright spot for the Phoenix in his freshman season, scoring a career-high 24 points while Manny Ansong and Nate Jenkins also reached double figures.

The Phoenix men will play on campus for the rest of the season, including Friday's game at the Kress Events Center against Northern Kentucky.
