Phoenix men host Saturday matinee vs. Oakland

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team will go from prime time to lunchtime with its Saturday matchup against Oakland thanks to the Packers.

The Phoenix beat Detroit-Mercy on Thursday 70-63 thanks to 16 points from Cade Meyer and two other players reaching double figures. The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a 88-77 loss to Milwaukee.

Due to the Packers playoff game, the game was moved earlier this week to the Kress Events Center for a noon start.

In other Green Bay athletics news, the Phoenix women have rescheduled their matchups against Milwaukee, which were scheduled for this weekend but COVID issues within the Panthers program postponed them. The two teams will meet on February 7th in Green Bay and on February 21st in Milwaukee. Both games will tip off at 7 p.m.
