Phoenix women battle in-state rival COVID-19 Friday

An in-state grudge match was supposed to take place at the Kress Events Center Friday and the Klotsche Center Sunday, but COVID-19 had other ideas.

Green Bay and Milwaukee have called off their home-and-home set this weekend due to COVID-19 protocols within the Panthers program. The Phoenix will try to find a new opponent and while the Panthers will look to declare the game a no-contest.

It is nothing new for the Phoenix, who have played just twice since a December 20th win against Central Michigan. This marks games six and seven that have been impacted due to COVID-19 within their own program and others. Barring more issues with COVID-19, the Phoenix will play next weekend at Wright State and Northern Kentucky and host their first home games in over a month on February 3rd against Youngstown State.
