Brewers complete 2022 coaching staff

The MLB is currently in a lockout, but some news has come out of Milwaukee that the Brewers have hired a new bullpen coach, as well as a new assistant infield and hitting coach.

Jim Henderson has been selected as the new Brewers bullpen coach. Henderson is a familiar face in Milwaukee having played for the Brewers from 2012-14. Henderson has been a pitching coach in the Brewers minor league system for the last four years, most recently at the Triple-A level.

The Brewers hired another former player to be their assistant infield and hitting coach in Matt Erickson. Erickson played for the Brewers in 2004 and has spent time coaching or managing the Brewers Class A affiliate the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for the last 13 years.

Given that the current work stoppage would end before the season gets underway, the Brewers are expected to open their 2022 season on March 31st against the Arizona Diamondbacks from American Family Field in Milwaukee.
