The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team only had seven players available on Thursday, but it was enough to beat IUPUI 69-54 at the Resch Center.
COVID-19 issues landed the other half of the team in health and safety protocols almost a week after the same circumstances canceled their weekend of games in the Detroit area.
Donovan Ivory returned to the line-up to score 19 points off the bench to lead all Phoenix scorers with Randy Tucker scoring 17 and Kamari McGee adding 12 fresh off his Horizon League Freshman of the Week win.
It was the first time the Phoenix had tasted victory since it beat Robert Morris in December while the Jaguars continue to search for their first Division 1 win on the season. The Phoenix will return to action on Saturday at 6 p.m. to face UIC.
