Packers health improving for playoff stretch

The Green Bay Packers have dealt with injuries to significant players all season long. This past week against the Lions fans got to see the return of LT David Bakhtiari and C Josh Meyers, two key pieces to the offensive line. The good news keeps coming for Green Bay fans as Jaire Alexander was activated off the Injury Reserve and practiced last week. Alexander is expected to play in the first playoff game in two weeks. If that isn’t good enough news, star pass rusher Za’Darius Smith who has been out since late September because of back surgery has officially been cleared and he will be able to return to the practice field this week, meaning Green Bay would have Smith for the start of the playoffs.

Taking a quick look around the rest of the NFC North Division. The Chicago Bears have fired head coach Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace and the Minnesota Vikings have fired head coach Mike Zimmer and GM Rick Spielman.

The Packers' first playoff game will take place in two weeks at Lambeau Field with the opponent and time to be determined.
