Gamblers fall to Chicago Steel

The Green Bay Gamblers dropped the first game in a weekend series with the Chicago Steel after a  5-3 loss on Friday night on 104.1 WRLU and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com. 

 

The Chicago Steel came out of the gates hot, netting two first period goals to take a 2-0 lead into the second period. The Gamblers would score 2 in the second period, but unfortunately so would the Steel to make it 4-2 going into the final period. The Gamblers would score a third goal in the game to cut the deficit to one, but the Steel would net one more before the final horn to take a 5-3 win. 

 

Matt Deboer, Brody Lamb, and Nicholas VanTassell all scored goals for the Gamblers. Jackson Hallum, Cameron Lund, and Luke Weilandt would tally assists on those goals. Green Bay used two goalies in the game with Aaron Randazzo playing 20 minutes and saving 5 of 7 shots allowing for 2 goals. Beau Buckley would then replace Randazzo and allow 3 goals in his time on the ice. 

 

Green Bay and Chicago will play again Saturday January 8th on 104.1 WRLU and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com
