COVID protocols cancel Gamblers, Phoenix games

A pair of Green Bay teams had to go without games on Saturday because of COVID-19 protocols.

The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team had their second game of the week canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. Detroit had to call off their game against the Phoenix on Thursday and Oakland had to do the same with Saturday's contest. Although no games were going to be played, the Phoenix was going to try to find a way to get a game in before they return to Horizon League play. Both games could be declared forfeits in favor of the Phoenix.

The Green Bay Gamblers found out early in the day on Saturday that their game on Saturday against Cedar Rapids was going to be postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. The original release from the league did not specify which team was having the issues, but moments later the USHL announced that the Roughriders' Sunday matchup was also called due to COVID protocols. A make-up date has not been announced.
