Phoenix bounced by Kansas City

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team could never get their offense going in its 64-55 loss to Kansas City.

It took much of the first half for either team to crack double figures before they got into a rhythm late. The Kangaroos finally caught fire in the second half, eventually building a 64-49 advantage. A late 6-0 run made it close, but still sent the Phoenix to their seventh loss of the season. Freshman Kamari McGee led the Phoenix with 19 points, 16 of which came in the final quarter of game action.

Both teams will be in action Sunday with the men playing at Kansas State and the women battling in Madison against Wisconsin.
