Gamblers, Phantoms showcase event as a part of youth tournament in Rochester

The Green Bay Gamblers could find themselves playing in front of hundreds of kids Friday and Saturday nights as they battle Youngstown in the USHL's inaugural American Cup.

The event hosted by the league will feature a pair of regular-season USHL games between the Phantoms and the Gamblers as well as a youth tournament with 17 teams,. It brings hockey fans in the Rochester, New York area an exclusive look at two of the USHL’s Clubs as well as a bevy of young hockey talent.

The Gamblers are trying to shake out of a November funk that only saw them win once in the entire month of November. The Phantoms provided a rough welcome back party after the Gamblers played the first half of the month on the road, winning the game 7-2.

Each team will have an opportunity to be the home team during the weekend with both games taking place at 6:30 p.m.
