Packers capture key win ahead of bye

The Green Bay Packers were able to make the plays they had to have when needed in their 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

The Packers struck first after recovering a Rams fumble in the first quarter thanks to a 1-yard touchdown run by Aaron Rodgers. After Mason Crosby kicked a field goal to start the second quarter, Matt Stafford connected with Van Jefferson from 76 yards out to make it 10-7. The two teams would trade field goals and touchdowns the rest of the second quarter to make it 20-17 at the break.

The Packers controlled the ball for much of the third quarter with A.J. Dillon catching a Rodgers pass to conclude a drive that took almost eight minutes off the clock. They would also tack on a Crosby field goal and a pick-six interception return by Rasul Douglas to put the Packers up 36-17. The Rams would score 10 points in the fourth quarter, but the Packers came up with stops when they needed to hold onto the win despite seeing Darnell Savage and Randall Cobb get injured and Rodgers limp off the field with more issues with his broken toe.

The Packer will have the bye week to get healthy before returning to action on December 12th for Sunday night football against the Bears.
