Packers lose Jenkins to injury, cut Redmond

The Green Bay Packers are a couple of players lighter after a pair of personnel decisions on Monday.

Head Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed on Monday the Packers lost offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins for the season after he tore his ACL during Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. It is unknown when David Bakhtiari could return to the lineup to fill the void at left tackle. As of right now, that duty will likely fall to second-year lineman Yosh Nijman. The Packers are also wondering when rookie center Josh Meyers will return to his role.

The Packers also announced Monday that they have released safety Will Redmond.  He played in 31 games with five starts during the regular season as well as four postseason contests since joining Green Bay in 2018.
