The man running for Mayor of Door County had a big second half as the Green Bay Packers shut out the Seattle Seahawks 17-0 in front of over 78,000 people at Lambeau Field Sunday afternoon.

Despite the Packers more than doubling up the Seahawks on yards (201-86) and time of possession (20:14-9:46), the Packers were only able to muster one made field goal in the second quarter to take a 3-0 lead into the break. The Packers' special teams woes continued on Sunday with a missed field goal in the first quarter.

The Packers' defense halted a pair of drives in the second half with Adrian Amos intercepting one pass in the third quarter and Kevin King taking away one in the fourth quarter. The Seahawks' answered in the third quarter with the Packers driving by intercepting an Aaron Rodgers pass in the endzone. Packers running back AJ Dillion had to take the load in the second half after Rodgers grew fatigued following his bout with COVID-19 and the MCL injury to Aaron Jones. He filled in admirably, scoring a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to put the game away for the Packers. It was the first time former Badgers star and current Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had been shut out in his career.

The Packers return to action next Sunday when they visit U.S. Bank Stadium to face the Minnesota Vikings at noon.
