The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team needed a 23-0 run in the fourth quarter to put away UW-Whitewater.
The Phoenix struggled against the Warhawks early on, down 19-11 after one quarter and down by 10 entering the final frame. The Phoenix would respond, scoring 36 of the quarter's 40 to turn an exhibition nail-biter into a blow-out victory. The top four scoring players for the Phoenix were either redshirt freshman or freshman with Brooklyn Blackburn leading the way 10 points.
The Phoenix women are back in action next Wednesday for another exhibition tune-up against UW-Platteville. The Phoenix men play on Friday in an exhibition at the Resch Center against St. Norbert.
