Three local schools will race for a chance to head to Wisconsin Rapids for the WIAA State Cross Country meet in Kiel on Saturday.

Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay, and Luxemburg-Casco will face Brillion, Chilton, Denmark, Kiel, Little Chute, New Holstein, Notre Dame De La Baie Academy, Oostburg, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers and Wrightstown. The Spartans' Spencer Thiry qualified for the state meet during the fall season and the Clippers' Julia Kurek did the same during the spring season last school year. 

The first race is scheduled for 11 a.m.
