The Green Bay Packers were able to escape from Soldier Field with a 24-14 victory against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

 

It was the Bears that took the early lead after they thwarted the Packers' opening drive with a third-down sack by Khalil Mack. The Bears drove 80 yards before Khalil Herbert punched it in from the one-yard line. 

 

The Packers would get on the scoreboard in the second quarter when they capitalized on a Justin Fields interception. A short pitch to Allen Lazard from Aaron Rodgers tied the game up after driving 80 yards. The Packers would score five minutes later on a field goal from Mason Crosby.

 

It was 10-7 in the third quarter when the Packers would tack onto their lead, this time on a 12-yard pass from Rodgers to Aaron Jones to make it 17-7. The Bears would make it close in the fourth quarter when Darnell Mooney caught a five-yard pass from Fields to make it 17-14. The Packers would put the game away on the next drive when Rodgers took it in himself from six yards out to put a little extra ownership on the game. He finished with 195 yards passing and three total touchdowns.

 

The Packers return home Sunday afternoon for a noon kick against the Washington Football Team.
