Brewers eliminated by Braves with 5-4 loss

A Freddy Freeman eighth-inning solo home run off closer Josh Hader gave the Atlanta Braves a 5-4 lead to finish off the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series.  The Braves won the series 3-1 and overcame two, two-run deficits in game four to move on to the championship series.

The Brewers broke a 23-inning scoreless streak in the top of the fourth scoring two runs on RBI singles by Omar Narvaez and Lorenzo Cain.  Atlanta then came right back to tie the game in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Rowdy Tellez hit a two-run homer in the top of the fifth to give the Brewers a 4-2 lead, only to see the Braves come back again to tie up the game off lefty reliever Aaron Ashby.

Both bullpen then held the offenses in check until Freeman's decisive blast in the eighth inning.

Eric Lauer started for the Brewers giving up two runs and four hits over 3-2/3 innings.  Hader (0-1) took the loss while Braves' closer Will Smith picked up his third save of the series to seal the victory for the Braves,  striking out Christian Yelich to end the game.
