The Milwaukee Brewers could not muster any key hits Saturday afternoon and fell to the Atlanta Braves in game two 3-0 at American Family Field.

 

Braves starter Max Fried shut down the Brewers for six innings allowing only three hits and striking out nine to pick up the win.

 

The Brewers did manage to get the first two batters on base the last three innings, but the Braves bullpen was able to get out of the jams without giving up any runs.  Former Brewer Lee Smith got the final three outs, including a game-ending ground ball double play by Luke Maile, to pick up the save. 

 

Brewer Brandon Woodruff again got no offensive support going six innings.  He gave up three runs, including a home run to Austin Riley, to take the hard-luck loss.

 

The best-of-five series is now tied 1-1 with games three and four to be played in Atlanta.  Monday's game is set for a 12:07 pm first pitch.
